Welcome to WeGive — the all-in-one fundraising platform built for nonprofits. Whether you're managing donations, engaging supporters, running campaigns, or tracking your impact, WeGive gives you the tools to do it all from a single dashboard.

This guide will help you get oriented and make the most of your new platform.

What is WeGive?

WeGive is a donor management and fundraising platform designed specifically for churches, ministries, and nonprofits. It brings together everything you need to accept donations, communicate with supporters, run campaigns and events, and manage your fundraising data — all in one place.

Here's what you can do with WeGive:

  • Accept donations through customizable checkout forms, including one-time gifts, recurring plans, pledges, and peer-to-peer fundraising.

  • Manage supporters with a built-in donor database, household grouping, tagging, and custom fields.

  • Run campaigns and events with ticketing, registrations, invitations, and waivers.

  • Engage your community through branded email messages, automated journeys, impact stories, and communication lists.

  • Offer a branded donor portal where supporters can manage their giving, view their impact, update payment methods, and download tax documents.

  • Track your performance with a real-time dashboard showing donation revenue, supporter trends, and year-over-year comparisons.

  • Connect your tools with built-in integrations for Salesforce, Bloomerang, Planning Center, Neon, Virtuous, DonorPerfect, Raiser's Edge, and 5,000+ apps via Zapier.

Your Two Environments

When your account is created, you automatically get two environments:

  • Production — Your live environment where real donations are processed and real emails are sent. This is what your donors interact with.

  • Test — A sandbox environment (labeled with [TEST] in the dashboard) where you can safely experiment with settings, test checkout forms, and try out integrations without affecting real data.

You can switch between environments using the Change Login option in the upper-right corner of the dashboard. We recommend setting up and testing everything in your Test environment before going live in Production.

Your Default Setup

When your account is first created, WeGive automatically sets up a few things for you:

  • A default domain at yourorg.wegive.com (you can add a custom domain later)

  • A default email sending address at support@yourorg.mail.wegive.com

  • A default checkout form called "Default Checkout"

  • Default campaigns and fund designations to get you started

You can customize all of these as part of your account setup.
